Words Alive

In 2019 I worked with Words Alive in San Diego, CA to develop an arts component for their high school reading curriculum. I worked with administrators and coordinators to create an art project for 5 groups of students that would express ideas from the book The Radius of Us. Each individual created their own piece of art using alcohol inks and these came together by classroom to create five large art pieces that were displayed at the San Diego Institute of Art in May 2019.

Ocean Discovery Instutute

9/2015 - 3/2015

In 2015 I worked with 8 high school students from Ocean Discovery Institute in San Diego CA to create an art piece that captured their understanding of the nature and science of watersheds in their neighborhood. A combination of recycled paper from magazines to create beads that symbolized elements that flow through the canyon, plastic bottle caps to create the context of the watershed and foam board to create the watershed, students created an art piece that they used to teach community members about the watershed and what they can to do protect it.

Art...It's Elemental

March 23, 2015 - April 22, 2015

I chaired an all members show for Spanish Village Art Center. We asked artists to create art with the four elements, water, fire, earth, and air, in mind. The gallery was transformed into landscapes expressing each of the elements.

Dance

September - October 2013

I Collaborated with a dance group who performed on the Spanish Village Patio. I created an art piece to be used in a dance.
